Manditory Fun, Take Two

Spent yesterday sicker than I've been in a long time. Headache, achy joints and muscles, screwed up stomach, eyes hurting... just not well at all. I managed to make it through two hours of work before throwing in the towel and coming home.
The problem is, this weekend is my company's Manditory Fun Weekend, one of the three or four High Holy Days this company has. I called in sick this morning and talked to my direct supervisor about it. My direct supervisor wasn't happy about it, but what could she do? (And she wasn't happy because she knew she'd have to tell the owner that I wasn't going) After going back to sleep and clocking in the better part of twelve hours asleep I'm feeling better, but not entirely well. Still, I'm well enough to feel it's not worth risking the job I have by staying home for the weekend to fully recover.
So, sometime soon I'll be meeting up with a co-worker and driving down to Myrtle Beach, SC for a fun-filled weekend of having my strings pulled and acting like the happy marrionette monkey that I am, all for the enjoyment and gratification of the company's owner. Bonn, who is still sick, will stay home and be in her studio, alternating making jewelry with taking naps. I'll be back on Sunday afternoon.
