Three Bits o' Gratitude

1. Draw a Dinosaur Day may have been yesterday, but it still makes me smile to see Todd Page's idea for an annual fun event grow.

2. Constructive Criticism
Over at my writing blog I wrote yesterday about struggling with a chapter that features a dinner scene that a past potential agent requested that I've kept in The Book but don't like. ( A chapter that amlaped has referred to as being something like "When the story comes to a crashing halt.")

In a comment to that post, Heather Kelly, who has read The Book, summed it up quite well by writing "ditch the dinner scene dude." The rest of her comment was an encouraging pep-talk that came just when I was ready to receive it.

3. Bonn's Mac & Cheese
On Sunday Bonn made me a big pan of her macaroni and cheese. I've been eating it for lunch all week long and it's been a great, tasty bit of home in the middle of the day.
