End of Another Show Season

I have this uncanny ability to take a nap just about anywhere. Shows are a prime example. While Bonn is forever rearranging the displays and the jewelry I sit back and work on whatever until my eyes start to droop.
I consider this to be a rare and honorable talent.
The photo, above, was taken in September at a local show by our friend Hotglass who was set up next to us. She was, I think, more amused than impressed at my ability to be cutting out chain mail links one minute and be sound asleep the next.
The photo also pretty well sums up my feelings about being done with shows for another year. Our year finishes off with two Christmas-themed shows in November, one at the start of the month and the other over Thanksgiving weekend. They mean that most of our evenings and weekends from around mid-October until now are taken up with some kind of show prep. (Although this year I insisted on fitting in making some apple butter)
For the past two years we've had the promise of going to Scotland to look forward to at the end of the shows. This year we decided to not go and put that money towards making some needed home repairs. So, instead of galavanting through parts of the UK we'll be sticking around home, then heading to the NC mountains around Christmas.
As much as I'm going to miss Scotland, right now I'm feeling like it was a good decision. I'm more than just beat after these shows. In fact, a nap sounds real good right about now.
