Off to do a Show

We're off for a three day show in Richmond, VA at (be still basefinder's heart!) the Richmond Raceway. The show is stretched across three connected buildings, one of which has a huge, gaudy racecar painting across a part of one wall. Just for you, basefinder I'll take and post a picture.

I've been doing lots of shutter clicking lately. Much of it's been posted to the various flickr accounts, but nothing much has made it here. The weeks before these three day shows are more than full and busy.

In the meantime, I'll leave you with one of my favorite cat portraits of late. And, yes, as victory_rose pointed out in a flickr comment, I took slight creative liberites with Maggie's eyes. (The shot was about at a 1/15 second, handheld and slightly blurred. Maggie's eyes were more washed out than they should have been)

This weekend NASCAR was in Texas -- so Denise has spent four days at the track. I've been watching all the TV coverage, and we've been texting during the day and talking on the phone at night.

Since our ride-alongs, I'm more familiar with the infield and the track itself, so I pick up more from the TV coverage. I'm looking forward to going down for the April races.

If you and Bonn would like to join us, I'll check into getting extra tickets....
