basefinder's comment in yesterday's post about having a packing list that he checks off before going on a trip made me think. I have a similar packing list for when we do shows, mostly because (a) I know what is needed at the shows and (b) I've had enough experience to know that there are some smaller items that are easily forgotten when I get busy searching for some of the bigger things.

I've packed for trips in the past, but never for a trip lasting close to three weeks and never one that takes place overseas.

So, here's where I get to ask (beg, plead) for advice, suggestions and any other pearls of overseas packing wisdom any of you might care to toss my way.


What should I definitely take?

What should I definitely not bother with?

What small thing(s) should I not forget?

If you've traveled overseas, what did you wish you'd taken with you that you didn't?

What questions am I forgetting to ask? (And what are their answers?)


C'mon you world travelers -- help a newbie out, will ya? Please?


[EDIT: There will be four of us in a fairly small car. Bonn's suitcase will be roughly twice the size of mine (think a small-ish duffle bag). Size will matter here!]
