Today's random bits of gratitude:

1. Our annual dinner with Tim & Debbie
We've known Tim and Debbie for close to twenty years. Why we only get together with them once a year is a complete mystery to all of us. We enjoy each other's company, we always have fun together, and spend much of the evening laughing. We'll see if we can't do this more often this year.

2. Bonn's soap business did well for December
With gold and silver prices going absurdly crazy (and our craft show sales taking a serious nose-dive as the US economy started to tank) Bonn needed to do something different, artistically. This past year she settled on soap making. She has soaps in one gallery nearby and in our daughter's store in Asheville, NC. Both reported her soaps sold quite well for Christmas -- we even got a check today from the gallery to prove it.

3. Being able to spend a quiet, easy day together
We had a major errand to run (soap restocking and new displays) but that didn't detract from our having a really good day together.
