Day 04→Your favourite book
Another of these danged superlatives.
I don't think of books in terms of having a #1 All-Time Favorite. I think of them in terms of whether I enjoyed them or not, whether I would recommend them or not, whether I would re-read them or not...
In terms of number of times read, The Wizard of Earthsea Trilogy by Urusla K. LeGuin was a series of books I read at the start of each year for many years. Then again, I read the first three books of The Time Warp Trio series by Jon Scieszka to well over 600 kids during my time as a children's librarian, so I read them probably more than any other books, period.
Enjoyment factor? Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide series (the first three, that is) made me sit up in amazement the first time I read them, as incredible comedic works. (Not to mention being one of the few books/series to make me, literally, laugh out loud) In that same category, Terry Pratchett's Discworld series (notably The Colour of Magic, The Light Fantastic and Guards! Guards! -- and with the original U.K. covers by Josh Kirby, please!) and P.G. Wodehouse's Jeeves series are also high on my enjoyment list.
(Hmmm... I seem to have a penchant for British comedy writers. Who would have guessed?)
In general, my Goodreads profile will tell you more than you ever cared to know.
