Decisions, decisions...

So I was thinking I could do one of two things here:
1. Write about how my Word for the Year ("[No] Laziness") has been working out so far this year. Included herein would be the cleaning of my writing room, organizing a list of things that need to be done around the house, things that I need to stop "working around" and just need to learn how to fix or get replaced. Also about the 5 hours spent dusting/cleaning the (weirdly) inset bookshelves in our bedroom and tossing out a huge trashbag full of garbage, junk and "wtf is this?"es in various drawers.
2. Wait a day or two and take pictures to post of our new long-haired gray cat, Xander. (As in Alexander, as in "Alexandra Leaving" by Leonard Cohen) Tonight's his first night home with us after having spent two months in SPCA care while they tried to find him a new home.
Yeah, that's what I thought too.
So, while I give him a little settling-in time before I bring out the camera, here's his photo from the SPCA's site.

Bonn saw this picture and thought he looked like Hader. Interestingly, he was supposedly born right about the time Hader left us to start The Crab Shack.
The SPCA worker who went over the final paperwork with us said that he was so scared when they first got him that he wouldn't even look at the person taking photographs. His first medical treatment with the SPCA was postponed for almost a week because he was so scared.
So, tonight, while Bonn was making dinner, I had Xander on my chest, just inches from my face, skritching and loving on him. He was happily purring.
I think he'll fit in just fine.
(Mind you, the other three haven't been consulted on this yet...)
